My best girlfriend from junior high loved the 'Gentleman Jim' necktie quilt but she has several dogs on the bed and the silk ties would never last. I made her one using pink/tan denim with floral upholstry material. It's dog-proof and weighed 35 lbs when I shipped it to her. Again, all hand stitched with no machine used.
