Quilt for Jaimee Pascoe and Alvin Charles, to celebrate their wedding. Consists of twelve "stack 'n' slash" blocks in peacock colours - blues, purples teal - with black "leading" between the sections. Sashing and borders in old gold. Corner stones in purple with machine embroidered motifs. Quilted using "quilt-as-you-go" technique with black strips to join blocks, sashing strips and borders. Each section of the blocks is freehand quilted. The sashing is quilted with parallel lines, the corner stones are quilted with concentric squares around the motifs. Borders are to be quilted in a continuous feathered design. "Magpies" reference is to the back - the blocks are backed in a variety of black and white fat quarters, the sashing and borders in plain black, and the cornerstones in plain white.
