United We Quilt
A Traveling Exhibit
Organized by the American Quilter's Society

June 29 through August 28, 2004

This exhibit grew out of the events of September 11, 2001. In times like these, quiltmakers quite naturally turn to needle and thread, and quilting can bring great comfort, not only to those who make the quilts but to those who view them as well. AQS, a quilt book publisher for 16 years, invited their authors to create a quilt in the spirit of hope and healing for the exhibit. Among the quilts are patriotic pieces, some that are humorous, and others that are very touching. All profits from the exhibit will be given to NOVA (National Organization for Victim Assistance).
